How I work with you

I will visit the property or site and discuss the proposal with the client before providing a fee quotation. This will be broken down into sections so that it is clear what the quotation includes.

Generally, a fee quotation will be broken down into the following sections:

  • Measured building survey and production of plans and elevations of the existing building.
  • Concept design drawings for client comment and approval.
  • Preparation of drawings and additional information for Planning Application purposes. Completion and submission of Planning Application if planning consent is required.
  • Preparation of drawings and specifications for Building Regulations purposes. Completion and submission of Building Regulations Application.
  • Preparation and submission of any additional drawings that may be required dependent on the existing building and site requirements.

I will act as the agent for all applications and will therefore be the main contact for correspondence with the relevant authorities. When approvals are received, I will forward all documents and drawings to my client who can then take ownership of the project and be fully informed to progress with appointment of building contractors.

I develop good relationships with my clients as well as local authority Planning and Building Control personnel and building contractors.
